Berkley's Journey

Bono, AR

Story

My best friend, Court, and her husband, Dill have received gut wrenching news in regards to their youngest daughter(our God Daughter) Berkley. Berkley had previously been diagnosed with hemi hypertrophy. This led to a series of work up. Labs, imaging and many Dr appointments. Abnormal ultrasounds and abnormal labs resulted in a CT scan that revealed a large abdominopelvic mass. Also noted on radiology report was metastatic spread to the left para-aortic lymph nodes. Prominent and round inguinal lymph nodes likely metastatic. This is CANCER, y'all. Our baby girl is currently at Arkansas Childrens getting extensive work up. She will remain at Children's in Little Rock until her transfer to St. Judes, Monday(3/17/25) Berkley is scheduled to have a biopsy on Monday (3/17/25) We need pathology to know exactly what cancer we will be dealing with. Then, the Doctors with develope a Plan of Care! With all of that being said Berkley has 6 siblings at home. 1 being her twin brother, Burtyn. We also have from oldest to youngest; Zoey, Lex, Addy, AJ and our Paisley Jubilee. Every one of the kiddos are in school and 3 of them also work. We believe it is extremely important for all of the kids to continue to have as much normalcy as possible. As any parent would, Court and Dill want to be with Berk as much as they can. Court and Dill prepare most meals at home for their children. However, this is not going to be possible during this time. The first thing we want to ask for are your prayers.. Tell everyone you know, show them Berks picture. Pray for this baby in Jesus name. Put her on your prayer list at church. We all know what a might God we serve. He is a healer! A WAYMAKER! Secondly, we ask that we start a meal train for the kiddos at home. There are some older kids in the house who know basic instruction on food preparation. So things can be heated, warmed up. Once Court, Dill and Berk get settled in at St Judes, we would like to extend some meals for them too. At this time, we have no idea how long Berkleys Journey will last. There have been so many ask "how can I help?" " What can we do?" Right now, THIS is how we can support them. 1 less thing off their minds. To know their babies at home have food on the table, snacks to grab and left overs for lunches at school, too! I will be posting updates as we receive new information and a Plan of Care!

Special Notes

Wednesday’s will not be need to be covered! Spaghetti and Lasagna are dislikes in this household. However, chicken Spaghetti is enjoyed! Sam's/walmart gift cards could also be an option! My husband (Shug) and myself will be doing weekly, if not more, grocery orders to help keep things stocked up. Their oldest sister Zoey works and is also in the RN PROGRAM. She has told me Thurs, Friday and Saturdays are the busiest days for her with school and work. Any dinner delivery day will be fantastic but Zoey asked if we could make sure those days are covered, that would be a huge help to her. Below are possible meals and places all of the kids will eat. These are not what we expect to be brought, just ideas that can be utilized. Bring whatever but these ideas can maybe help lead in a direction of what is most liked. Possible Meals: Chicken Spaghetti Chicken Alfredo Vegetable Soup Chili Hawaiian Roll ham and cheese sliders Hamburger helper Burger and fries Places we'll eat from: KFC/Taco Bell chicken baskets or taco packs Wings To Go mild wings Any pizza place pepperoni Sonic burgers Guthrie chicken baskets
