Supporting Mike & the Cuccia Family

Beverly, MA

Story

In March, Mike was diagnosed with colon cancer. He had colorectal surgery that successfully removed the tumor but further testing of the lymph nodes shows that it is Stage 3 and he will need to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy. He's young, active, and otherwise healthy so we know he's got this and will kick cancer's butt (no pun intended)! While there is a lot of unknown in our future, one thing is for sure - we know the value of our amazing community of friends and family. We are setting up this page to communicate updates and occasionally ask for help with Evelyn and Isabella. A meal train has already been set up, and we've already received so much from you - so we're not looking for anything extra at this time. We mainly just want one central location to keep everyone updated. We're hoping you subscribe to this page to come along this journey with us and post messages of encouragement to get Mike (and us) through this challenging time.

Special Notes

Mike is getting his treatment at the Cancer Center in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. His treatment is a few hours every other Thursday at the Cancer Center then he comes home with a pump for 2 days that is disconnected on Saturdays. #1 6/13-6/15 DONE #2 6/27-6/29 DONE #3 7/11-7/13 DONE #4 7/25-7/27 DONE #5 8/8-8/10 DONE #6 8/22-8/24 DONE #7 9/5-9/7 DONE #8 9/19-9/21 DONE (stopped oxaliplatin) #9 10/3-10/5 DONE #10 10/17-10/19 DONE #11 10/31-11/2 DONE #12 11/14-11/16 DONE
