We have created this page to support Deena and Mark during a challenging time. Deena has recently been diagnosed with carcinosarcoma and is scheduled for surgery on December 16th to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. She will also undergo a full hysterectomy and is expected to stay in the hospital for 5-7 days. Following her surgery, she will likely require chemotherapy, although the schedule for that is still to be determined. Mark has been facing his own health struggles, battling kidney failure for some time. He is currently undergoing dialysis, which requires him to travel to the north side daily for several hours of training before he can administer treatment at home. He will continue dialysis until he anxiously awaits a new kidney. Both Deena and Mark have selflessly supported others through numerous fundraisers and have generously given their time and resources. Now, it's our turn to support them in their time of need. FYI-Mark and Deena's household includes their 21-year-old twins, Whitney and Makenzy, and Deena's 83-year-old mother, Sharon.
