As most of you know, Amy was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer in September 2024. After many conversations with many doctors, we felt most comfortable with a team of surgeons in New Orleans, who specialize in Breast Cancer patients. Therefore we have decided as a family to make the trek down to NOLA for surgery. On November 18th, Amy will be having a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and will stay 2 nights in the hospital. We as a family will stay in an Airbnb close to the hospital until Monday, Nov.25th. After her post-op visit we will drive back home. Amy's medical oncologist will still be at UAB and chemo treatments will be with them as well. We hope this page will serve useful to all of you, so we can keep you informed.
