After suffering a traumatic brain injury on October 10, Mary received 3 weeks of great care at HCA Lawnwood Trauma Center. On October 30, Mary was able to travel from Fort Pierce, FL to Lafayette, IN. She is currently at Lafayette Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, where she will continue her recovery until the end of November. On Saturday, November 16, Larry fell at Corey and Christine's house, fracturing his femur, very near the hip socket. Larry had a successful surgery at IU Health and was able to be admitted to Lafayette Regional Rehabilitation Hospital on November 22. Next steps for Mary and Larry are not fully decided, but we anticipate one or both will spend some time at a skilled nursing facility prior to returning home.
