I purchased a car 3 weeks ago. I took it the shop. Needed a new steering pump pulley belt and spark plugs. After the car was done I went to pick up the car. The shop owner advised me the steering fluid is still leaking it’s ok to drive it just add more fluid . My radio n dash was not working before I took it in it was ok. No damage to anything I drove it to the store n back ran it to keep battery good since it sat for 4 months. Myself and my brother drove the car 45 minute home after purchase. The day I picked the car up I left to get my grandkids n daughter in law. I made it 6 minutes out of town I seen smoke coming from the dash thru vents. I advised the shop it’s smoking from vents he said to bring it in. I turned around. I was able to drive 5 minutes. Before I can get to the shop the car was engulfed in smoke. I drove as far as I could. I pulled over I could not breathe anymore from the smoke. Needless to say after I parked and ran out of the car, it was in fire and I had no idea. I almost died in this car do to negligence from the shop. my car was in tiptop shape nothing else wrong with it besides the steering pump pulley belt in his part Plex. My car never caught on fire my radio, and dash light should’ve been working whatever they did or didn’t do caused my car to catch on fire now I am struggling severely to get another car, major health issues. I have a lot of chronic pain. I’ve had a lot of surgeries and I have a lot of doctors I see I need to get to my appointments if I can please get help to get a cheap car
