My cancer journey began in November 2021 when a tumor was discovered in my ovaries. In December, I underwent surgery to remove it, but doctors were unable to save my ovaries. This led to a full hysterectomy in January 2022. Since then, I’ve had regular bloodwork and CT scans every six months. In August 2024, a mass was found in my abdomen, requiring another surgery. Then in December 2024, another mass appeared—this time near my heart and lungs—leading to another surgery in February 2025. After a follow-up CT scan in April 2025 to confirm I could return to work, I was heartbroken to learn there was yet another mass in my abdomen. I’m scheduled for surgery on April 15, which has delayed my return to work until May 12. I’ve been out since February 7. It’s been a long and difficult road, both physically and emotionally. But through it all, I’ve been blessed with an amazing support system. I’m so thankful to everyone who has stood by me, cared for me, and helped me take care of my daughter during this journey.
