Dear friends and family, I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to you all because my sister Megan, is going through a challenging time and could really use our support. She is always thinking of others, and now it's our turn to return the favor! As many of you know, Megan is getting Surgery on Monday Nov. 25th, and will be recovering at home. She's getting occipital nerve decompression surgery. The Neurosurgeon makes an incision in the back of the head to expose the greater occipital nerves and release them from the surrounding connective tissue and muscles that may be compressing them. She'll be on complete bed rest and recovering at home for at least 2 weeks. Megan does live alone so, it makes things a bit harder on her. She'll have a friend staying with her for a few days post surgery to help with recovery thankfully. To help make this difficult period a little easier for Megan, I’ve organized a meal train. By providing meals, we can take one worry off her plate and show her that she has a strong support system ready to lend a hand.
