Story
On February 6th we had an appointment with Spine Surgeons at Denver Children's Hospital. We have been watching Juliet's spine for the last 10 years because she has Scoliosis. This was caused in part by ribs fused after her Esophagus surgery when she was 3 months old. Her spine is now at 90 degrees and it is restricting lung function so we are doing surgery to try and correct it as much as possible. She will go in for a Halo surgery on April 1st. 16 years exactly from when she came home from the hospital after 5 1/2 month stay when she was born. Katie and Juliet will then stay at Denver Children’s hospital for the month so that she can be in Halo traction to help her spine to prep for surgery. Matt and Norah will be home holding down the fort while we are gone. She will then have surgery on May 2nd to fix her Spine. Please pray for us in this next chapter of Juliet’s story. We are seeing God working daily to make everything come together in his perfect time.
Special Notes
The Hospital is restricting visitors so cards, messages and calls are the best way to support us at this time. What we NEED the most is prayers. Praying for the surgeons as they prep for this risky surgery. Pray for the nurses as they take care of Juliet. Pray for us as we navigate all of this. Pray that we are a light and are able to share our faith through this whole process with anyone that we come in contact with. Prayers also that everything is done in his perfect time. He has made every appointment available with very little waiting so we are confident that he is completely in control. Flowers and plants are not allowed in the Hospital.
