Story
We are excited to welcome our second little girl into our family! *And* we know we'll need help and extra love during this time of transition. As we know more about what our needs are or as our needs evolve, we will update this page. To stay alert to rising needs, updates, and thanksgivings, "follow" this page (click the "heart" button in the top right corner of the page) and after entering your email address, you will be able to get email notifications with any and all updates. Thank you all so much for your love and support! Our registry can be found at: https://www.myregistry.com/giftlist/baby-p-bergh
Special Notes
VISTATION: For the first two weeks after baby is born, we are planning to be cocooning and will *not* up for visitors. But after that we'll be up for short visits (like 5-10 minutes long). If you want to visit after the first two weeks, please reach out to Ollie (at 503-347-8403) in advance of your visit. For instance, if you're bringing a meal and would like to stay and visit, please let us know earlier in the day. We'd love to see you, but we need a heads up if you're coming inside. A NOTE ABOUT VISITING: When visiting and Ottilie is present, please interact with her FIRST! And *then* after a bit, you can ask her to introduce you to her new sister – if she hasn't already initiated that. We have been reading about how this can help older siblings not feel resentful towards the new baby. Thank you for helping us in this endeavor! MEALS: Erika is vegan and Ollie is diabetic with high triglycerides, so we try to avoid added sugar and higher fat content for Ollie; as well as meat, dairy, and eggs for Erika. We know this can present as overwhelming to many to try to think of foods to make, so Erika has compiled a PDF of recipes to give you ideas. Hopefully it's helpful! The bottom of the Table of Contents also has links to websites/blogs that contain even more recipe ideas that would work for both of us. Here is the link to see and download our "Meal Train Recipe Idea Book": https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZGARsvAPO9jKVANcSzvSNlGCFMuRBxM1/view?usp=sharing GIFT CARDS: If you would rather give us a gift card for groceries instead of making a meal, we'd deeply appreciate gift cards to: - Fred Meyer - Costco - Sunshine Health Foods - Safeway In addition, some fun places to get gift cards for would be: - Restaurants/coffee shops like: Summit Coffee Co., Bahn Thai, Kanpai, Taco Azteca/Mayan Palace, Fat Burger, DoorDash, Yes Noodle Soup, The Crepery, Little Owl Cafe, or Stir It Up at the Countryman Cafe (in Noel Wien library) - Raven City Studio (Erika has visions of making something with baby's foot or hand prints) - Once Upon A Child
