As many of you may or may not know, we have two boys affected by TBCK. This diagnosis as affected every facet of their lives, as well as our own. I am very grateful to be their mom and have learned so much from them! They are the best teachers although this life comes with its challenges. While being a full time student, I am also a full time care giver along with my husband. It is not easy, it can be physically and emotionally draining but we push through because our boys deserve the best care we can provide! MJ and Josiah have fought more than anyone I know just to be here, along with all the other tbck kiddos. They have battled things from a typical cold wiping them out completely, leading to hospitalizations to seizures that cause them to go into status. Along with these day to day challenges we face as a family, we also are currently fighting insurance for beds, wheelchairs, and a stairlift. We have been fighting tooth and nail for months to get a stairlift approved.. While it has been emotionally draining, I am not giving up. To come to a conclusion, I am setting this page up so that anyone who feels inclined to share or donate can do so! Thank you!!! 💘
