Helping Marcy after Knee Surgery

Sebastian, FL

Story

On December 18th, while rehearsing for my theatre performance at the Guild, I experienced a significant injury when I misstepped during a dance, resulting in a loud pop and immediate, intense pain in my leg. An MRI later revealed that I had sustained a buckle handle meniscus tear, which is particularly concerning given my history of ACL and meniscus surgeries. The surgeon is currently unable to determine the full extent of the damage or whether my meniscus can be salvaged, but I remain hopeful. Due to previous knee issues, my recovery will need to be cautious and slow, requiring me to avoid putting any weight on my knee for six weeks. Consequently, I will be out of work for about a week, and I'm eager to heal quickly, especially as my tendency toward FOMO and ADHD makes this situation particularly challenging.
