Story
Thank you so much for your support. Bert is expected to be in the hospital for up to a week and on restrictions for lifting (no greater than 10lbs) or driving for a couple of months. Which poses a challenge with 3 kids at home including a newborn! We found out about the tumor from an appt Bert had with an ENT doc about some other issues. They did a scan which showed the tumor. He was quickly referred to the neurosurgeon , who determined it is a grade 2 meningioma. It is surrounding some of the major vasculature in his brain and is pressing on his optic nerve, so if he did not have it removed soon it would leave to blindness, among other complications. Because of the tumor's location, surgery was really the only option. The surgeon does not believe the tumor to be cancerous but they will be doing a biopsy to confirm this. Thanks again for your support.
