Story
Married in 1972, Barton Lane was truly the love of Janie’s life. Their bond was one of devotion, laughter, and steadfast partnership. Barton faithfully prepared home-cooked meals for breakfast and dinner as long as he was able, expressing his love with every dish he served. Food was, indeed, his love language, and if you EVER ate one of his meals you know how he delighted in nourishing those he held dear. So here we are, seeking to extend that same love and energy back to Janie. Extending the arms of a husband’s love just a bit further. The ease of knowing she will not have to determine what to eat every morning and night would be a blessing beyond measure as she navigates her days without Barton by her side. For those who may not know, the Lane family is in literal transition, moving from their University City home of 49 years to relocate closer to family in North County. This shift, happening alongside their profound loss, brings additional challenges and special requests. If you have time to pitch in and help lighten the load it would surly help the family focus on what matters most: healing and honoring Barton’s legacy. But mostly, let’s come together to love on Mama Lane as her heart searches for ways to comprehend her days without the physical presence of the man who so effortlessly kept a smile on her face. So please call, text, drop bys, pick her up-- it's all welcomed. Your kindness and generosity will make all the difference.
