Hey everyone! As you know, my brother in law is fighting a rare metastatic cancer, linitis plastica, Stage 4 in the stomach and liver. Due to the nature and location of his cancer, he has experienced a lot of complications and needs 24/7 support. My twin sister and her husband are stationed in NC, as her husband is active duty AF, and therefore, they have no family, and limited help. I thank God every day for pulling me away from work this year, so I can freely go and help my sister and her family through this very difficult time. Jake is on chemo and Kristen is trying to keep her kids' lives "normal" as much as possible to limit the trauma they will experience through this. When asked how can you help from Maine, the only major thing beyond prayer that I can consider is supporting my family when I'm away.
