Story
Poppe likes to snowboard and makes a point to avoid running into trees. Unfortunately, on a recent trip to the Cascade Mountains, a tree came out of nowhere and smote his ruins upon the mountainside. With dreams of a whirlyball national championship now on hold, Poppe is bracing for a rough surgery, 6 weeks without the use of his left leg, and a 6-month recovery. He'll be staying at his parents' house during initial recovery, but then will be back home to fend for himself. Are there more important causes in the world? Definitely. But if you feel compelled to give to this one, any assistance (even just a note of support) would certainly make a difference in the next couple of months and would mean a lot.
Special Notes
Once Poppe has returned home, meal assistance would be especially helpful (gift card or pre-prepared). Please note, he's not good with spicy food -- think zero stars at a Thai restaurant -- and tomatoes aren't his friend. We'll post more info here, once we know when he'll be home.
