I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in January. I have had a double mastectomy and completed a lengthy chemo process. I have started radiation and have 4 weeks of that, along with an iron infusion. I have been given several hormone blockers and an expensive shot every 28 days that i will need to take for the next several years to ensure the cancer doesn't come back. Once those are completed, I then get to speak with both the reconstruction dr and my sarcoid dr to see which of those will be treated next. During this process, I have been asked how people can help or what we need. I dont take them up on the help. However, I have been told it hurts feeling on the other side as people want to help, and I should allow them to help. This give them options and allows them to help in the way they choose.
