I am Ashlynn McBride, the cousin of Jalen Whitlock Easterling. On September 12th, our lives were shattered when Jalen, a loving mother of two young daughters, was murdered and tragically taken from us. Jalen was shot and killed by the father of her children, a man that she had not been with for three years. Jalen had been fighting a constant domestic battle to get away from her ex. Countless reports were filed and this was sadly not the first time he shot her house. She was stalked, harassed and murdered in front of her two children, while celebrating the oldest child's birthday.
