My name is Carla. I went to the hospital with abdominal pain on Thanksgiving 2024. I was diagnosed with pancreatitus and also had some tumors in my CT scan. While in the hospital we did a biopsy and I recieved the results on New Years Eve that I had stage 3 ovarian cancer. I'm a 44 year old single mother to my 13 year old son who has been a champ through the process. I also have a 25 yr old son and a 6 yr old grandson. We immediately started treatment on January 14 th and I'm currently not able to work. I did receive my short term disability from work but it's on 60% of my pay and I still have to maintain the household. I will not be returning back to work until July at the earliest possibility. I still have a long road ahead including a major surgery as well as more chemo. I'm reaching out for any help that anyone could possibly give in any form. It would be greatly appreciated by my son and myself. I would like to thank anyone who has taken the time to read my story.
