Ryan and Shannon welcomed Luca David Nehring on 9/15/2021 at 35 weeks. Luca received a life-shattering diagnosis in June. Positive for Trisomy 18, otherwise known as Edwards Syndrome. We were told Luca only had a 50/50 chance of making it through the pregnancy, and if he did, he likely wouldn’t live long after, but Luca showed the doctors that he can do so much more than they ever imagined. Luca still has a LONG road ahead of him and will spend many weeks in the NICU and most likely need care if he is able to come home. We would love to help provide Shannon and Ryan with gas and food gift cards to help out while they are traveling back and forth to the Mott's Children's Hospital.
