Story
Hi friends and family! On Saturday September 3, my dad Kevin fell off a roof and is sustaining multiple injuries. He fell about 12 feet landing on concrete, and also had a 50 lb pallet fall on top of him. A 10 inch long severe cut to the head & face (17 stitches 19 staples), fractured vertebrae in the neck, fractured ribs, a tibial plateau fracture, and many other bumps cuts and bruises. He will be having surgery tomorrow on his tibial fracture. Unfortunately he will be off of work for quite some time, a couple months at least and won’t be able to do his every day activities physically. Non weight bearing for 2-3 months. My mom will be working full time while also having to help my dad with washing his hair, changing his bandages on his head, etc. If you know us, you may know my dad has been having a rough year, starting on my wedding day with some medical issues that he is still experiencing; he is still having testing done to figure out what’s going on there. I would love to help my parents in this time & thought I would start with a meal train! As I said my mom will be working full time and my dad is usually the cook in their household. If you would like to bring a meal and share some encouraging words, please do!
Special Notes
As Tonya goes back to work, she may not be home to answer the door for meal drop offs. Please enter through the garage door, there is a fridge/freezer in the garage you can place the meals in there! There will also be a cooler if the meal is hot you may place it there. This will be easiest as Kevin will not be able To answer the door. Thank you!
