Hi everyone, My name is Jamie Ramsey, and I’m reaching out with a plea from the depths of my heart. After 16 years in remission, cancer has come knocking on my door again. I’ve been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma—a fight that marks my third battle with this relentless disease. I’ve beaten cancer twice before, and I know what it takes: grit, determination, and a whole lot of love and support. But this time, the stakes feel even higher. I’m a single mom raising two incredible children, ages 6 and 7, who are my entire world. They need their mom, and I’ll do whatever it takes to be here for them—to watch their milestones, to cheer them on, and to hold their hands through life’s ups and downs. As you can imagine, this journey will be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. My mother is traveling from the Bay Area to help, but I don’t have much support locally here in Sacramento. I’m turning to my community, my friends, and even strangers who might feel moved to lend a hand. While recovering from my double mastectomy, I will need a lot of care and will have a lot of follow-up appointments to attend. I'm hoping to lessen the burden on my mother by receiving home cooked meals or food from delivery services. If you’re unable to contribute, your prayers, good vibes, and words of encouragement are just as powerful and deeply appreciated. Cancer may have knocked me down, but it has never taken away my spirit. I’m ready to fight with everything I have, and with your support, I know I can win this battle for the third time.
