Kyle and Sheila were in a bad skiing accident in Park City. Sheila broke her arm and will require surgery. Kyle’s spleen ruptured, he broke 6 ribs, he lost a ton of blood, the blood infusion they gave him causes his brain to swell and he’s currently in ICU. He is blinking and nodding which is a positive and his first surgery to close his abdomen went well. He will have a long road to recovery with surgeries and PT. They could really use some help for meals so it’s one thing they don’t have to worry about. Update 12/24: It’s a Christmas miracle. Kyle’s surgery went really well, they closed up his abdomen and all 6 of his ribs lined up! He’s off the vent and able to sit up, speak and eat!!! Update 12/27: Sheila had reconstructive surgery on her wrist today. She had right Wrist reconstruction, Tendon repair, Wrist plate & 6 screws. Kyle is being released from the hospital today and will have the rest of his procedures as outpatient!!!!
