Story
Mental Health is NO joke! Time to help the helpers and return all the times Brittney and Zack have been there for others. It might feel strange for her to be on the other end of help kindness, and generosity, but we/Zack included want to create a small gesture to make Brittney's life just a little easier, while he is away. This will be a meal train. Never under estimate the power of a delivered homecooked meal that you didn't have to prepare yourself. For all those wondering why the McClure's have become such home bodies and stopped reaching out on the regular, the family has a lot going on at the moment. They are focusing on getting our favorite guy healthy again ❤️❤️. Brittney is holding down the fort with their daughter, Callie and little Mason on the way, due next month. Zack is so strong for reaching out for help, this is/has been a long road thus far but he have a team of loved ones here for you at all times. Zack could be gone through January. He will be missing out on some special events and holidays but he is dedicated to getting healthy for his family and friends. He will get a 72 hour release from the VA impatient treatment facility when Mason is born so he can bond with his new born son and enjoy short time with his family. *Zack's Original Post* My current Mental Health. Something I never thought that could physically affect my life, besides when I ended it. My entire body is telling me that I am no longer able to fight off on my own anymore. I am not weak for the fact that I have pushed on to seek help. Warning signs are given, and when a 30 rack is your prescription you are no longer working to live. I was literally working to numb myself. My wife knew I drank, hell she's the one that did grocery shopping. But I would buy a 6 pack on the way home from work, just to get home and drink. I'd chew a can a day. I smoked 2 packs a day. Addictive personality is who I was. May 24th changed my entire look on life. Pretty much dying on my bathroom floor in front of my family, COMPLETELY SOBER. Since this day I have stopped drinking, using nicotine, as well as energy drinks. However, it has not stopped the fact that I have to segregate myself into my room and cover my chest with ice packs just to avoid passing out. I have to ask people the most simple things I should remember. My memory is definitely slipping. Which in turn brings along my anger. I have reached out to the VA Domiciliary and I am currently working with the most wonderful woman to help get me into the Inpatient program for Mental health treatment as well as PTSD and TBI. These things are like a car wreck and can take time to form. For me it was roughly 15 and a half years. I want to thank my wife Brittney McClure for sticking through all this bull crap while baking our baby boy and chasing the feral one we call Callie. You are doing 200% too much and definitely toeing the line for our family and I am forever grateful. You are the greatest! I love you babe My mother in law Kelly Eddy for always listening to myself and B. For last minute sleepovers with Callie and just being the absolute best grandmother. My grandfather Chuck Helser and auntie Tami McClure Herzog your visit the other day and just words of encouragement without pressure and judgement. Brian Taylor, you are truly a brother to me and helping me through this crap has been wonderful. I love you man. Ryan Brazil, your purest good intentions and help have been amazing. Dinner with you and your amazing wife in November is what truly opened my eyes to all of this as a possibility. I am forever grateful. Honestly the list is too long to go on. Just know your words and actions don't go unseen. I see them all, I hear them and I am grateful!
