Hi everyone! My name is Kate Vasquez, and I’m one of Jaime’s closest friends. To me, he is my family. So, Ive been wracking my brain trying to figure out a way to support my friend during this time. I know we all want to help, but a lot of us arnt sure how. This is how. We support the little things that often get overlooked. I was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma aka biliary duct cancer, aka bile duct cancer. It is rare especially at my age. Best case scenario survival is 2years on average responding well to treatment. Treatment will not fix it, just buy more time. I am still working and I will continue on as normal as I can, well until can’t anymore lol. As long as I’m here for I will hold true in the things I know. Nobody is promised tomorrow, I will fight, I will try to lead with love and my faith is strong. Prayers are more than welcome.
