Baby Sister (noun) A younger sibling specializing in sassiness. The sibling blessed with the power to get away with anything. A forever friend. As much as this definition cracks me up, it also makes me realize that I have been blessed with a forever friend in my Baby Seester. Even though I may have tortured her when we were younger and got very upset when she got away with things that I couldn’t, I don’t know how I get through my days sometimes without our car rider line phone calls. We have had many adventures filled with laughter and fun and have created so many memories with our daughters. This is yet another adventure we are on… If you know my sister, you know a strong, independent I can do things myself kind of girl that loves her daughter Kaylee, her fur babies, the outdoors, a glass of wine, comfy pants and fuzzy slippers. You know a woman who took time out of her life to care for our mother before she passed away in November of 2023. You also know a woman who does not ask for help and does her best to keep her business private. In December 2024, this independent strong woman heard the words that no woman wants to hear…breast cancer. This is something that even a strong independent woman needs love, support and help to get through. Amy has opted for a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery. This procedure will require recovery time with limited activity. She is going to need our help to get through this. The fear, anxiety and stress of “how am I going to get through this?” is going to start to set in. This is where we as her family, her village, her tribe can help. This is the time that we can show how much we appreciate this strong, independent woman and the mom, friend, sister, cousin she is. This page has been created to help with the time off work that Amy is going to have to take. This page has also been created to help control chaos that usually comes with times like these. Being from the South and from a church background, we understand what a “Casserole Crew” can do when it comes to meals and making sure a family has more than what they need. To help with planning, the calendar shows who is willing to help with specific events on specific days. This could be for food, for visiting, for helping with doctor’s appointments and with making sure Kaylee can have some normalcy during a stressful time.
