Story
On May 20th, 2024 Myron was admitted to Abbot Northwestern for a stroke. Upon further testing the medical team found a blockage in My's carotid artery, aortic stenosis, and that he has had several smaller strokes since entering the hospital. Myron has undergone surgery to clear the blockage in his artery and he may require another surgery to replace a heart valve. At the time of writing this, Myron is out of the hospital released into Josh's care. Every day is different and brings both significant set backs and acheivements. That being said, Myron has a long way to go in his recovery. Myron's devoted partner, Josh, visits daily and provides tremendous support. Unfortunatley, life outisde the hospital doesn't pause for emergencies. If you have the means to help in any way-- a meal, help with chores, a gift card, or even just a visit or a supportive message, they would greatly appreciate it. More information about Myron and his progress can be found at his CaringBridge page: www.caringbridge.org/visit/myronjohnson2
