Story
Many have asked about how to further assist the Opopo and Sents families as Helen begins her treatments for cancer. The Apopo family live in Glenview with Margaret and Bud Sents. Many of know that Bud is living with Parkinson disease. The families have asked that we begin providing one meal a week. See the note below on the details for providing this meal. Thanks Chris Murphy
Special Notes
Margaret Sents knows that people would like to be a part of the supporting this Sents/Apopo family as they navigate this challenging time, and all the folks at 2000 Valley Lo in Glenview appreciate the support. Margaret is open to folks supporting the family during Hellen's treatment with meal support. She prefers starting with a meal provision just once a week... a meal delivery for Monday supper. So the details are: Provide a meal for supper for five adults and three children on Mondays. (Leftovers most welcome!) Please deliver by 4:30 Monday...( or when possible, arrange with Sally and Joe to pick up the meal on Sunday after mass and they can do the delivery) Adults eat anything nutritious and delicious. If the meal favors adult taste, please include a kids option like mac and cheese or burgers or spaghetti and meatballs...(these options are also good for all. Veggies are welcomed though mostly eaten by adults!) . Hellen is blending her own meals with broth and nutrition from meals provided. Margaret's preference: Rather than using disposable containers for your offerings, plan on leaving the meal containers for Sents to package up for the next meal train providers to return to the former meal train providers. Simple warming or cooking directions are welcome. Gratitude abounds, as we all lift this family through this medical journey!
