Story
Our friend and colleague Jim Griffin has recently faced an incredibly challenging medical diagnosis. In December 2024, Jim learned that he has brain cancer. Since then, he has been courageously undergoing treatment, including a brain biopsy and chemotherapy, and he remains hospitalized as he navigates this difficult journey. Despite the challenges, Jim’s resilience and strength have shone through. He is alert, interacting with visitors, and slowly recovering as he continues his fight. While his journey is far from over, Jim’s spirit, determination, and positivity remain a testament to his character. Jim is not just a coworker—he’s a cherished friend to many of us. Whether collaborating on a complex project or sharing a laugh during a team meeting, he embodies the best of what it means to be part of the UPS family. We’ve created this Give InKind page as a way to stand behind Jim and his family. While they are not asking for financial support, we know this is a busy and overwhelming time for them as they focus on treatment, hospital visits, and meeting with doctors. We hope to ease their burden in small but meaningful ways—whether it’s a meal through DoorDash, a thoughtful gift card, or simply a note of encouragement to remind them that they are not alone in this fight. This page is a way for Jim’s coworkers, friends, and the wider UPS Customer Solutions family to show our love, solidarity, and support. It’s a symbolic gesture to let Jim and his family know that we are here for them—100%, every step of the way. We encourage you to join us in showing Jim and his family that they are surrounded by a community that cares deeply for them. Whether you’re able to contribute a meal, a gift card, or just a few kind words, every gesture matters and reminds them of the strength of the network holding them up. Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support for Jim and his family during this time. Together, we can help lighten their load and remind them of the power of friendship and community.
