Story
Supporting Eric's Recovery Last year, Eric was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma (brain tumor). While we are relieved the tumor is believed to be benign, it has been pressing on Eric’s optic nerve, placing him at risk for sudden and irreversible blindness. The situation became more complex when the tumor started branching, making it harder to remove. To protect his health, Eric will undergo surgery at Froedtert in Milwaukee on November 19th. Post-surgery, Eric faces a minimum six-week recovery period during which he will be unable to work. During this time I will be managing all aspects of our household—driving, meal prep, and shuttling our kids to their activities. Some thoughtful friends and family have asked about how they can help, so we created this page to organize support. Delivered meals, snacks, and desserts are greatly appreciated. Please note that due to allergies, we kindly ask for no flowers. While Eric may not be up for visitors in the first few days, we will share updates as he recovers and welcomes more company. Additionally, help with driving our older kids to their local evening activities, such as picking Nathan up from wrestling, would be a great support. Thank you for standing with us during this challenging time. Your kindness means the world to us.
Special Notes
Nathan has a hazelnut allergy. Eric does not like mayo in anything. We also do not care for pork chops. Hot dogs and bacon are good tho. Gas cards are appreciated as well since we will have to return to Froedert in Milwaukee a few times during his recovery.
