Story
Thank you for all of your support and prayers for my niece, Gwen. Our family has been overwhelmed by the generosity that has been shown on her GoFundMe page. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law are so grateful and appreciative. Here is an update from Jenny: ———————————————— Since arriving at the hospital, Gwen faced a challenging start. After discovering she had Leukemia and a mass in her chest, the doctors found fluid around her heart, which required a procedure to drain it. Thankfully, the procedures for the PICC line placement, lumbar puncture, and fluid drainage went smoothly without complications. The lumbar puncture showed no leukemia present in the spinal fluid. Praise the Lord as this would have further complicated matters! Shortly after beginning chemo, she experienced some nausea and fatigue. However, the medical team has established an effective schedule for anti nausea medication, helping her keep food down. Some days are tough for her, both emotionally and physically, with other days she seems like her usual self. Please continue to pray for Gwen’s strength and resilience in this fight. We are deeply grateful for the support, kind words and prayers we’ve received. We ask for specific prayers regarding insurance, as that remains a significant hurdle for us at this time. ———————————————— As many logistics are currently being figured out as they prepare to be discharged, supporting their family in way of meals/groceries via gift-cards would be so helpful! A few of their favorites include: Door-Dash, Chipotle, In-N-Out, Wing-Stop, WaBa Grill, and Subway. Thank you again for your continued prayers and support for Jenny, Tynan, Remy & Gwen as they navigate through this challenging season.
