Story

Mary Lou Huffling's core mission throughout her life has been to help others. For over 40 years she has helped people all over the Monadnock region have the necessities they need to thrive. The Thanksgiving baskets from the Fall Mountain Foodshelf are legendary! She has done all this without asking anything in return. As we have seen with the incredible generosity to the Fall Mountain Food Shelf and Friendly Meals, this is a community that knows how to show their love. Now is the time for the community to show their love for someone who has done so much for others. Mary Lou has had a series of health issues that have made her home bound for the time being. As she gets her strength back, feeling love from her community would mean so much. Help with meals, visits, and with her toy poodle, Snoopydoodle are all ways you can help and will aid in her recovery.

Hello my dear Mary Lou! This is Mow. I tried to send you a message, but I think it got lost. If you get two, sorry about that! I saw the thing that Katie posted on Facebook. I’m sorry to hear that you have been stuck at home. I hope you are recovering well. I can’t come for a visit because I am in Tanzania, in East Africa, where I am spending my third winter now. My pattern nowadays is to spend my winter’s here, early summer in Oregon and late summer and fall in New Hampshire. I’m not sure why we haven’t managed a visit yet, but let’s change that next time I am in town!
