Feb. 21, 2025 Mallyssa is currently 30 weeks pregnant and her & Baden recently informed us that their baby is high risk but didn't go into too much detail. That's unfortunately because they had been getting more bad news week after week.. Mallyssa has an autoimmune disorder (APLS) that significantly increases her chances of stillbirth. That's ultimately what happened to their oldest child, Brylee: she was in the process of dying. Because of this, Mallyssa has been seeing Maternal Fetal Medicine- a specialist for their subsequent pregnancies. They have been monitored weekly since 14 weeks. Baby #3 also has a hypocoiled cord. This means the umbilical cord isn't twisted as tightly as it should be.. the risks of this are stillbirth and growth restrictions. The baby also has been diagnosed with Fetal Growth Restriction and Mallyssa’s once a week monitoring has been increased to 3 times a week. Mallyssa also have been diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia meaning her blood pressure is too high. This comes with its own list of complications. On top of driving to Wichita every other day and missing tons of work, Mallyssa & Baden have been told to expect to deliver a baby at 34 weeks. I don't know if you caught it, but that's in 4 weeks! If they get to 34 weeks and everything looks good, they will go as long as they can, but they have been told that that's probably not going to happen. Not only are they expecting a 34 weeker, but they are expecting a very tiny 34-weeker with a NICU stay. Mallyssa & Baden are prepping to relive one of the hardest times in our life.. Mallyssa has ran out of PTO and will be unexpectedly taking 3 weeks of unpaid leave. Please keep the whole Sisson clan in your thoughts and prayers.
