Oakley was born with a heart defect, requiring major surgery just a few days after birth and spending his first few weeks of life in the hospital. Now 12 weeks old, Oakley was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital again due to stress on his heart and lungs caused by narrowing of the pulmonary vein confluence. Oakley will be undergoing another major surgery in the next few weeks and is focused on clearing his lungs in the meantime. Jesse, Evangeline and Oakley will be away from home for a while and the holidays will look a little different. Let’s be a blessing to them during this time!
