What is Give InKind and Why are we leaving CaringBridge? - We will use this Give InKind's platform to post updates on her health and treatment plan, as well as dates/times on when we may need help with meals and doctor visits. Summarized update on her diagnosis: - Ophra has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Her CBC blood counts are low, and she will need blood transfusions and monthly HMA infusions to support her health. - I suggest not googling and using this link to understand more about AML instead (directly shared from the doctor): --> AML in Adults: https://www.lls.org/sites/default/files/2023-06/PS32_Adult_AML_2023.pdf Need to know for visitors: - She is now considered immunocompromised. Visitors must be up to date on flu, COVID, and other vaccines, or wear an N95 mask. She will need to avoid large events.
