After a long year of health issues related to Diverticulitis, Rick was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable but treatable cancer of the blood. In the past several months Rick has been prepping for treatment which will require an extended hospital stay of up to a month while his body recovers from a stem cell transplant. All of this while Renae's Auto Immune issues are rearing their ugly heads preventing her from a doctor release to return to work.
