Josh’s Community

Elysburg, PA

Story

Josh was part of a concussion research study since Bloomsburg University football days. This year he decided to participate again, and flew to Indiana to have an MRI at IU. On Saturday 1/18 he received a call from the head of Neurology at IU who stated that the radiologist found something concerning on his scans and encouraged us to go to the ER. We did, and long story cut short, they found a brain tumor. 2/13/25: Josh had an 8.5 hour surgery. The doctor is pleased with how it went. Josh was talking after and is doing well. We are THANKFUL that God paved a way to have this tumor be found early. Josh is in good health, young, and it has been found early. We are also so thankful to be in a community that has helped us move mountains to see medical professionals quickly, provide advice on what to ask, and to get the ball moving. 3/13/25: We were given the news that pathology is showing Grade IV Astrocytoma (Glioblastoma). Josh starts Radiation and Chemo for 6 weeks.

Praying for God's hands to guide each person that touches you and that He would show them every intricate detail that He formed in you so they know exactly the best choices to make. Praying that you and Lauren will know His presence in a very tangible way, and that His name will be glorified through the testimony you have and will have soon. May you have peace and rest Psalms 4:8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For you alone,O Lord, make me dwell in safety." Tina and Steve

Thinking of you and praying for you Josh and Lauren. Thanks for openly sharing life with our little community. Praying you will feel Gods strength and peace thru this journey. Years ago I shared this verse every night with a friend who was going thru cancer treatment. Deut 33:27…The eternal God is your resting place(refuge) and underneath are His everlasting arms. One night she said to me…I don’t get it, underneath what are His arms?? I said underneath YOU! So now the verse has become..The eternal God is your refuge and underneath YOU are His everlasting arms. Same goes for you Josh and Lauren. Sending much love and many prayers.
