Megan's Support Network!

Marlboro, VT

Story

Dear friends and community, I’ve come to the hard and necessary decision that I need to take a leave from work to tend to my mental health. Starting April 14th I am taking a four-week leave to engage in more intensive mental health treatment with my therapist and focus on healing. During this time, I’ll need some rides to and from therapy appointments (rides are the most essential piece of the equation as I will not be able to drive myself home from my appointments). I’d also love care in the form of meals/food and dates with friends for art, nature walks, etc. to help sustain me and make this time a bit more easeful and joyful. I also am moving at the end of my mental health leave and will need some help with that. I am not explicitly asking for money at this time as I am able to take a paid leave due to a combination of earned paid time off and the generous contribution of sick time from my colleagues. However, if you want to donate toward my treatment, my Venmo is @Megan-Grove and the last four digits of my phone number are 9351. Any donations I do not use for treatment will be put into my mutual aid budget line and redistributed to other folks in need. My dear friend Krystal organized this wonderful sign up so that volunteering for tasks is easier and clearer. In addition to the needs/requests listed here, I welcome any and all support you might offer me during this time, particularly in the form of real time hangouts (virtual, by phone, or in person). It is a new, uncomfortable, and deeply vulnerable thing for me to so openly ask for this level of support and I am holding a lot of tenderness and gratitude around it (combined with a commitment to reciprocity). Thank you for considering <3 Megan
