Story
Garnett is an in-chair Kyle Pease Foundation Athlete. He also has aspirations to play power wheelchair soccer with the Atlanta Sting and has attended their power soccer exhibitions for the last two years. Garnett is a 16 year old teenager with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and is currently in the hospital with congestive heart failure. Gifts for Garnett and family will help mom (LaToya) be mentally and emotionally present and available while at the hospital for Garnett. Both her boys, Garnett and David have Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. If you are not familiar, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy primarily affects skeletal muscles, but it also has significant impacts on the heart and other organs. Garnett was rushed to CHOA Arthur M. Blank Hospital, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit earlier this week. This is his second critical hospitalization in the last 45 days due to his heart. David has been at the hospital with LaToya whenever he is not in school. LaToya can also use help with transporting David to school from the hospital and back to the hospital after school. Doctors have been trying to find the correct mix of medications to help Garnett's heart. Please keep Garnett, LaToya, David and his doctors in your prayers.
