Story
Hi all! Many have already heard the story below, so feel free to skip it. But this page is central place for all of our amazing village to surround us with their love and support. Or cup has runnethover with the check ins, offers of support, food, any anything we need. Please feel free to sin poor contribute in any way below… anything is appreciated. Early Tuesday, around 12:30/1am Van brought Brandi to the ER. She was having the worst headache of her life and her neck and upper back hurt so bad that she couldn’t really articulate or process what was happening. The headache started around 11pm and they tried Advil, ice, and heat. But nothing was working. Hence the ER. The staff at Brandon Regional Hospital Stroke Center immediately took her in and started stroke protocols. Brandi’s anxiety was so gingered she was having a panic attack hat was unlike anything else she’s ever experienced-shaking, inkling arms. She was also vomiting wnytime she was moved. She was given a CT with and without contrast, hooked up to ivs for meds, labs were drawn immediately. The doctor told Brandi, upon results from the CT, that it was NOT a stroke! By the grace of GOD. BUT there was a spot they wanted to evaluate further on the back of Brandi’s head and she would be getting an MRI. The MRI indicated that she had a brain bleed. This was followed by an angiogram to determine the state of the brain bleed and if she would need surgical intervention. Again, BY THE GRACE OF GOD… Surgical intervention was NOT NEEDED. Brandi was diagnosed with the bast case scenario… a subdural hematoma which is a bleed in the brain between the outer most covering. It hurts like hell but will heal on its own. They do not know the cause… it sometimes just happens. But it will heal on its own with rest. Brandi will in the hospital for observation until at least 2/18 and the rest at home for two weeks or so before she (might) be able to go back to work. Brandi so grateful for her life. And WE are so grateful for our village: Truly you all are the best. We’ve got so many of you ready to take care of us! And thank you isn’t enough. Praise God! Forever blessed and grateful.
Special Notes
