Supporting Chuck's Fight with Cancer

San Jose, CA

Story

**Help Support Chuck's Journey: A Story of Strength and Resilience** Dear friends, family, and neighbors, as you may or may not be aware but our dad, Chuck, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and brain cancer. He has already had a major tumor successfully removed from his brain but the journey is not yet over. This news has been incredibly challenging for our family, but we are determined to face this battle with courage and hope and a desire to beat the odds. He is not just a fighter; he is a hero in many ways. He is not just a father and grandfather but also a proud Navy Reserve veteran. He dedicated much of his life to serving his country and living values of integrity and perseverance. As an Eagle Scout, he stressed the importance of being prepared, helping others, and giving back to our community. Throughout his career in the semiconductor and technology industry, he exemplified hard work and commitment, always striving for excellence. For many years, he has been the primary caregiver for our mom, Edwina, who has been battling her own health challenges for the past few years. Together, they have built a full, long life filled with love, strength, and resilience. Even now, they continue to live independently, supporting each other through these trying times and always concerned for others above themselves. However, as both face significant health issues, the road ahead has become increasingly difficult. As he begins his chemotherapy treatments for his cancer, we are reaching out to our friends and neighbors for support. Whether it’s a kind word, a shared meal, offer a ride to an appointment, or simply lending an ear, your presence and encouragement mean the world to us. We know that with a strong community behind us, we can navigate this journey with strength and hope. Thank you for considering helping during this challenging time. Your support will not only uplift him but also remind us all of the power of love and community. Together, we can make a difference in his fight against cancer!

Special Notes

He has a hard time with anything but soft foods right now. No sick visitors please.
