I started this fundraiser to help our friend. Gena is struggling.. We all know that it takes a village to raise our kids.. Gena is single mom who works full time. Gena is also building her Habitat house that she will be moving into December of 2022.. Gena has been driving her girls to Forest Grove every morning so when December comes her girls would not have to switch schools. As most of you know one of her daughters has been struggling with her mental health and has been doing intensive outpatient therapy at St. Vincent’s hospital 5 days a week. Her treatment is Monday - Friday 9:50am - 2:50pm That being said Gena is overwhelmed!! As any single parents would be. As you all know GAS is so expensive she does a lot of driving back and fourth from Hillsboro to forest grove 2 times a day and then back and fourth to the hospital twice a day and then manages to work in between pick up and drop off’s.. has to go back to work after all the driving . Her family does not qualify for food stamps or any other assistance. I was hoping that we could all try to support her with either, meals, drop offs or pick up from school or the hospital, Gas cards etc.. due to Gena purchasing her new home in December she cant put anything on her credit cards or take any leaves from work or there would be a possibility the bank would deny her loan. Gena is the first to help anyone in-need and right now she is struggling silently. She doesn’t even know where to begin to ask for help.. so I’m doing it for her. Thank you!! Elly Smith
