Our special friend and co-worker, Essence, has found herself battling breast cancer. While the doctors believe they have caught it early enough to treat, she has had a variety of surgeries and will continue with chemo and radiation once healed. Essence is currently unable to care for herself, so her mother has moved in to assist with care for her and her three children. She is unable to work, and will be home until mid to late summer as she powers through her treatment plan. In discussions with her, it was decided that meals would be an excellent place for us to assist her through this journey.
