Story
Just 3 short weeks ago, I was living my best life, and excited to be back to work in my boys' school after staying home with my children for 8 years. Cancer was not on my radar. Life had other plans, and I was blindsided by a breast cancer diagnosis during what I thought would be a non-eventful mammogram. My prayers were answered when I learned that my cancer had not spread past my lymph nodes. Now I have a path set before me, not of my choosing, but out of necessity. I am to begin chemotherapy on Wednesday, November 6th, and will hopefully be finishing the initial phase at the end of February. Because I will be immunocompromised, I will not be working during this time. I am not sure how my body will handle the chemo, and being the one who usually handles the meal tasks in my family, I will be thankful for every bit of help with meals that I can get. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and offers of support. I don't think I could do this without you all! ❤️❤️
Special Notes
Any help with food for any meal time is welcome. The boys have no dietary restrictions. Katie is being careful with her diet so as not to have refined carbs (no bread, pasta, potatoes, etc.) She will have back-up meals at home, and is happy to receive help in any form, so please don’t feel obligated to accommodate her restrictions. Easy peasy!
