Margaret Averitt & Family

Georgetown, TX

Story

Sweet Margaret Averitt was diagnosed with spina bifida at mama Grace's 20 week ultrasound. After undergoing fetal surgery at 25 weeks, all was going well until a placental abruption at 31 weeks caused Margaret to be born prematurely in July of 2023. Margaret has been in the NICU since then due to a few complications, notably vocal cord paralysis requiring a tracheostomy (artificial airway) and a g tube for feeding. Despite the setbacks, Margaret is a feisty, precious baby who has the most wonderful family and community that has rallied around her! Now after 141 days in the NICU, Margaret is set to be discharged home at the end of November 2023. Margaret will require 24/7 care due to her airway and other medical needs. What an honor it has been watching the miracle of baby Margaret's life unfold this year. As her discharge from the NICU is imminent, we want to show our love and care for the Averitt family in a tangible way. If you are able, please consider donating financially or with your time to help ease the mental, emotional, and physical load for the Averitt's! Thank you for blessing this amazing family!!
