Story
Dear Rusk School Family, When a friend is in need.. show you care with prayer and a kind gesture. Our school family is reaching out to request your prayers and support for the Oliver Family, who are dear to our hearts. Their daughter, Audrie, has recently been hospitalized. While we may not fully understand all the medical details, many of us follow Hope’s heart-felt, raw and beautifully crafted words expressing and explaining their journey on Facebook to get updates regularly. The family has asked for our prayers and love during this challenging time. In addition to these, many of us want to do more to help. To assist the Olivers, we have set up a Give InKind gift card train to provide them with necessities and ensure their other children can enjoy social activities, shopping, and dining out while their parents travel to and from Dallas. Join Us in Showing Love and Support! The Oliver Family has touched the lives of so many in our community, and now it’s our turn to give back. Let’s come together to surround them with love, prayers, and practical support during this difficult time. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
Special Notes
Food can’t solve every problem. But delivering a gift to them is a concrete response to the sometimes hard-to-answer question of “What can I do to help?”. In our digital age of apps and near-instant delivery services, this is one of many creative ways in which we can help nourish our friends and make sure we're giving them something they actually need and want. This is an extremely difficult time for their family. Please consider helping in any way that you feel lead. How You Can Help: **Prayer** - Please keep Hope and her family in your thoughts and prayers. (Encouragement is such a kind gesture, but at this time she expressed messages by text and Facebook are a bit overwhelming.) **Give InKind Gift Card Train:** - Visit our Give InKind page to contribute gift cards. These can be used for groceries, gas, meals, and other essentials. - Gift cards for restaurants, entertainment, and shopping will also help provide Audrie’s siblings with some joy and normalcy during this time.
