Story
Our colleague, Stephanie Tomlin (who works remotely in Ohio for Brooks' team), recently received news that no parent would ever want to hear: her 7-year old son, Clayton - has cancer. Medulla Blastoma to be exact. This cancer is very aggressive and is in his brain. He thankfully got to Cincinnatti Children's Hospital almost immediately after syptoms began and was admitted. They caught the cancer early, and they performed surgery to remove the clustor of tumors from his brain days after admittance. Unfortunately, having brain surgery to remove those tumors is only the start of his battle against this disease. He will have a minimum 6-months to 1-year treatment involving both radiation and chemotherapy. Radiation is scheduled first, to begin April 21st, and that treatment will be every weekday for 6-weeks. He will get a few weeks off, then he will start chemotherapy. Each chemo treatment will require 2-3 days in the hospital, minimum. Chemo will be administered both in the hospotal and outpatient. Stephanie is a single mother with three childrent, Clayton being the youngest. This diagnosis will forever change their lives, but the next year will be most challenging and demanding for her and her son. Please consider supporting them in any way you can. Thank you! #famwins
Special Notes
Stephanie lives about 40 minutes from the Children's Hospital. Gift cards or donations for food and gas will be very appreciated. We are also working on an Amazon Wish List specifically for Clayton, but he loves Roblox and Minecraft.
