Story
After attempting to channel their inner velociraptor last spring, Dana is now facing ankle surgery and an eight-week, non-weight-bearing recovery—meaning no walking, no driving, and a whole lot of forced rest. It’s been a long road for them, and surgery is now just days away! Because Dana is so loved, family and friends will be coming into town to help. However, there’s still a need for meals and (possible) kiddo rides, so we’re looking to their friend/community to help fill in those gaps. Meals for the first week post surgery are the biggest need right now. You'll notice theres a gap for when family is already on top of it, but they'll need meal care again starting in March, which is reflected in the schedule. You may just need to click over in the calendar. If you’re able to pitch in, whether with a meal, ride, or some form of entertainment during the long recovery, it would mean the absolute world to Dana. They are always the first to show up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for them. Thank you thank you thank you for showing up and supporting them through this challenge!
Special Notes
Dana is resting and healing, and their support system is juggling a full plate. While they are BEYOND grateful for the love and help, they kindly ask that meal drop-offs be just that—quick drop-offs. This isn't forever, but the first week or so is going to be fairly unpredictable in mobility and pain management therefore we're asking for door drop offs until further notice. Your kindness and generosity mean the world, and Dana looks forward to reconnecting once things settle. Feel free to send a text! They'll get back to you when they're feeling up for it. ♡
