Story
Jess was diagnosed with breast cancer in April. The last 2 weeks since diagnosis have been a complete whirlwind of appointments, information overload, and already the first infusion of chemotherapy! We are on the road to curability and recovery. It will be a long summer filled with infusions and having some days where Jess will not feel 100%. Thankfully, there will be a summer nanny to help keep Ben and Owen occupied during the week, and Reed and Jess are hoping to maintain as much normalcy as treatments allow. There will be times when a few extra hands will be helpful whether it is for meals, grocery pickups/shopping, and even some light yard work to help Reed maintain the landscaping he takes pride in.
Special Notes
If you or someone in your family is not feeling well, please do not plan to stop in to say hello. We are trying to keep the house as "germ-free" as possible. If you are able to say a quick hello, please use the hand sanitizer near the front door. Please avoid any tree nuts in meals and/or groceries that are delivered. PEANUTS are TOTALLY FINE - all other nuts, please avoid. Please be aware of the amount of food you are dropping off. Ben and Owen can be pretty picky, and Reed and Jess are only 2 people, so please be cautious of portion sizes. Freezable foods are always good, too. NO sandwich meat and NO grapefruit. NO soft or moldy cheeses. There will be a cooler placed outside the front door for quick drop-offs, especially on the days when the family is out and about and/or Jess is just not feeling well.
