I struggle with words to comprehend this nightmare. I just don’t understand. One of my bestest friends was diagnosed with the wretched C word. One of my absolute ride-or-die TRUEST best friends. It found her. Started as a cyst on her brain she was adamant was a buildup of fluid from undiagnosed pneumonia, and they also found a small spot on her lungs they thought was leftover pneumonia. NOPE! She won’t ask for help, so I’m gonna do it for her. She just found out today, 1/16/25, and will have a long road ahead of her. I had to wait a few days to post this so she could tell her kids. I want to help her and WILL do whatever takes for the C word to KICK F’N ROCKS outta here!! We don’t know if she’ll be able to return to work, as she was on FMLA due to having brain surgery to remove the cyst. We don’t know where or how far she’ll have to go for appointments and treatments, as she needs to consult with another doctor for treatment plans, and her husband won’t be able to work as much because he’ll be by her side through it all. She’ll be going for a second opinion to Dana Farber but will begin radiation the end of this month. If we raise more, even better. If you can’t contribute, PLEASE SHARE! Alicia would help anyone who needed it and has gone above and beyond for me numerous times. We HAVE to help her! I’ll also be doing a spaghetti fundraiser for her and a meal train.
